Farmworkers Awareness Week Long Sleeve Shirt Drive

April 1 to 5, 2024

Location: H Building, CTE, SWL, Health Science Center

Host: College Assistant Migrant Program (CAMP)

Info: CAMP invites all to join us to celebrate Farmworker Awareness Week! By donating a long-sleeve shirt, YOU can help protect farmworkers from pesticide exposure and prevent a heat-related illness! Donation boxes will be placed around campus.


DEI Council Speaker Series: Farmworkers Awareness Week

The Bandana Project

April 2, 2024

Info: 十大电子游艺平台首选 LULAC invites students to participate in The Bandana Project, a public awareness campaign aimed at addressing the issue of workplace sexual violence against farmworker women in the United States.  White bandanas will be decorated with words of encouragement, motivating statements, inspirational pictures and art.

Info: This workshop provides Detailed guidance on DACA renewal applications, work authorization, and a discussion on specific work-related issues for DACA recipients, including programs like Advance Parole and their implications.


Citizenship Open Employment Opportunities Workshop

April 18, 2024

Time: 6 to 8 pm

Info: Students will learn about the citizenship application process, which can open doors to employment and civic engagement opportunities. This will include a discussion of how access to different jobs, internships, and opportunities change depending on status.
